In return, you get a concrete development project solved, with a strong focus on creating maximum value for your company over the 6 or 8-week program. There are no obligations regarding employment, but if the match is right, we can also advise you on available subsidy programs that can help cover salary costs in the initial period.

What is Improve Business Academy?

A business-oriented program that connects Danish companies with highly educated international and national professionals based on motivation and approach rather than a polished yet meaningless CV. The program lasts 6-8 weeks, depending on the company’s location, and we provide support throughout with skills development and guidance on your business project, project management, and job searching.

Each year, we match 200 companies with relevant professionals, and 50% of our participants secure a job within three months—either in the company they were matched with or through a new job search strategy.

We have a strong network across the country and primarily collaborate with private companies, ranging from dynamic startups to established large corporations. In addition, we also work with patient associations, membership organizations, festivals, and NGOs. The best part of the program is that you choose the development task you are most motivated to work on. All participants at Improve Business Academy are matched with a case they have selected themselves. This way, you can tailor your program based on your own interests and goals. If you’re working on your ESG reporting, Improve Business Academy counts as part of your reporting on the ‘S’ in ESG. The ‘S’ in ESG focuses on the social aspects relevant to your business. This can include how diverse your recruitment efforts are, how you promote equality and inclusion, and the extent of internships or practical placements within your company.

Find your ‘Vækstpilot’

A Vækstpilot (a danish growth support program)is for you if you have one or more development tasks and need new competencies in your company.

Is this something you’re considering? By participating in Improve Business Academy, you have the opportunity to test a potential candidate for the task before deciding to hire them as a Vækstpilot.

When hiring a Vækstpilot, you can receive a 50% subsidy for salary costs for up to six months. The subsidy is a maximum of 15,000 DKK per month, and the Vækstpilot must be employed for a minimum of 25 hours per week. The Vækstpilotmust be registered as unemployed before employment.

Competence Development during Employment

In a Vækstpilot scheme, there is the possibility to apply for a subsidy of up to 10,000 DKK (excluding VAT) for a chosen competence development course. The company initially pays for the course, and Erhvervshuset will reimburse the money along with the payment of the total subsidy.
